Who are we?

Health & Social Research Society (HSRS)

HSRS is committed to working with focus on innovative initiatives to empower vulnerable and equity- deserving populations such as seniors, immigrants, newcomers, women, youth & children, people with disabilities, and others. 

HSRS is a non-profit organization incorporated under the Societal Act of Alberta in June 2024. 

Mission

Educate, empower and develop a better society where excluded groups can live in an inclusive community and reach their full potential.

Vision

An inclusive society where all people can live with hope, dignity and respect.

Objectives of HSRS

  1. To support and empower vulnerable populations that include seniors, immigrants/newcomers, women, youth & children, LGBTQ+, people with disabilities, Indigenous, homeless and others.
  2. To promote equity, diversity and inclusion in communities and develop young leaders to strengthen their skills as the future generation.
  3. To provide support to improve the health and wellness of different groups of populations in creating healthy communities.
  4. To involve vulnerable populations in the research on health and social issues to identify the needs, gaps and new initiatives for future program development.
